2026 Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill

Participate in the statewide Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill in accordance with LAUSD emergency preparedness procedures.
Participants:

* All students
* All certificated staff
* All classified staff
* Administration

Objectives:

* Practice Drop, Cover, and Hold On
* Conduct evacuation procedures following the simulated earthquake
* Account for all students and staff using current emergency rosters
* Review emergency response procedures and communication protocols

Administrative Notes:

* Ensure emergency backpacks and classroom rosters are taken during evacuation.
* Administration will monitor drill implementation and document completion.
* Conduct a brief debrief following the drill, if necessary.
* Complete all required LAUSD emergency drill documentation.

Reminder: This is the annual statewide Great ShakeOut Earthquake Drill. Staff should follow established emergency procedures and treat the drill as if it were an actual emergency.
